Pope Francis has become the first pontiff to address concerns about artificial intelligence at the Group of Seven meeting in Fasano, Italy. He urged caution about AI, calling it both a fascinating tool and a terrifying one, and acknowledged its potential applications in various fields.

This technology is seen as a crucial part of the AI-generated media puzzle, as current models can only generate silent output. DeepMind's V2A tech uses the description of a soundtrack paired with a video to create music, sound effects, and dialogue that matches the characters and tone of the video.
The diffusion model, trained on sounds, dialogue transcripts, and video clips, learns to associate specific audio events with various visual scenes. AI-powered sound-generating tools are not new, but DeepMind's work could bring generated movies to life.
