1. Nvidia CEO hand-delivers world's fastest AI system to OpenAI

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has handed over the world's fastest AI system, the DGX H200, to OpenAI's Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. The DGX H200 is a new and powerful GPU-based server from Nvidia, featuring the new H200 Tensor Core GPU. The H200 is considered the world's most powerful GPU for supercharging AI workloads. Huang signed the supercomputer with the epithet "to advance AI, computing, and humanity".

This comes after a similar delivery in 2016 when Elon Musk received the DGX-1 server. The DGX H200's performance could have a similar impact on research. However, Musk is currently suing OpenAI for breaking their founding contract and exacerbating the potential dangers of artificial general intelligence (AGI).

2. Google Thinks It Can Cash In on Generative AI. Microsoft Already Has

Google CEO Sundar Pichai believes Google can make money selling access to generative AI tools, while Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella claims his company is already doing so. Both companies reported better-than-expected quarterly sales and profit, and stock prices soared on the results.

However, the near-term fortunes of Microsoft and Google's generative AI efforts may differ under the hood and in the comments of their executives. The buzz of interest in AI services drove revenue for Microsoft's cloud services and increased cloud market share.

4. JP Morgan AI Research introduces FlowMind, a machine learning approach that uses LLMs like GPT to create an automatic workflow generation system

JP Morgan AI Research has introduced FlowMind, a novel machine learning approach that uses LLMs like GPT to create an automatic workflow generation system. This innovative approach enables dynamic workflow automation, particularly in financial services, where data integrity and confidentiality are crucial. FlowMind uses lecture recipes to prime LLMs before task engagement, ensuring an understanding of the task context and API functionality.

The system operates through a structured two-stage framework, educating the LLM on task-specific APIs and executing code based on user inputs. FlowMind has demonstrated exceptional accuracy rates, outperforming traditional RPA systems.

5. School principal was framed using AI-generated racist rant, police say. A co-worker is now charged.

A former high school athletic director, Dazhon Darien, has been arrested for allegedly using AI to impersonate the school principal in a recording that included racist and antisemitic comments about individuals at the school. Darien is facing charges including theft, stalking, disruption of school operations, and retaliation against a witness.
