2. Google expands AI training courses & launches AI fund for businesses
Google is expanding its AI training courses and launching an AI Fund for Businesses. The company is investing €25 million (roughly $27 million) in the AI Opportunity Initiative for Europe, including adding new resources to its Google Certificates Program and making learning materials available in 18 additional languages.
The fund aims to equip workers with the skills they need to avoid being left behind in an AI-powered economy. Google is also looking for social enterprises and nonprofits to apply for funding to provide bespoke and facilitated AI training in local languages.

UK chip designer Arm Holdings has seen its stock market value almost double in less than a week as investors bet on the AI boom. 5. Scientist use six-month-old baby to train AI model
Researchers at New York University used a six-month-old baby, Sam, to train an AI model to understand how children associate new words with specific objects. The head-mounted camera captured footage of Sam's daily activities, including mealtimes, reading, and playing.
The footage was fed to an AI model, which learned to recognize objects similar to Sam's. The model accurately linked images and text about 61.6% of the time, addressing debates about language-specific biases, innate knowledge, or associative learning.
