Hello GPT-4o
1. Hello GPT-4o
GPT-4o is a new model that combines text, audio, and image inputs to create more natural human-computer interaction. Google is teasing a new camera-powered AI feature ahead of its I/O developer conference. The video, labeled as a prototype, shows a Pixel device with the camera open viewing the keynote stage at I/O. The voice responds that it looks like people are setting up for a large event, possibly a conference or presentation.
The feature bears some similarities to Google Lens, the company's camera-powered search feature. 4. TikTok is testing AI-generated search results
TikTok is testing a more robust search results page, including using generative AI, called "search highlights." A snippet of AI results appears at the top of some search results pages, and clicking into the section opens a new page with the full response. The feature is called "AI Smart Search" and is limited so far, as not all queries have AI answers.
TikTok has steadily added more features to its in-app search, including adding Google Search results and links to Wikipedia, IMDb, and other websites directly in the app's search results page. The platform is trying to harness some of the habits its users, especially younger people, have developed on the app, and is leaning into AI results by including them above creator content.
