Google's Gemini Live, an enhanced version of its advanced voice mode for OpenAI's ChatGPT, is set to roll out on Tuesday. It allows users to have in-depth voice chats with Gemini, Google's generative AI-powered chatbot, on their smartphones.

The enhanced speech engine delivers more consistent, emotionally expressive, and realistic dialogue. Users can interrupt Gemini while the chatbot is speaking to ask follow-up questions, and it will adapt to their speech patterns in real time. Gemini Live is hands-free, can be paused and resumed at any time, and can practice speaking tips for job interviews.

Elon Musk's social media platform, X, has been accused of processing data from European Union users without their consent. The revelation led to the Irish Data Protection Commission expressing surprise. The GDPR requires all personal data uses to have a valid legal basis.

Nine complaints have been filed with data protection authorities in Austria, Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. Privacy rights nonprofit noyb has filed GDPR complaints in Ireland and seven other countries. The complaints argue that X does not have a valid basis for using data without consent.

4. Nvidia wants to help California train its residents on advanced AI

5. Piecing Together an Ancient Epic Was Slow Work. Until A.I. Got Involved.

In 1872, George Smith discovered a prototype of the biblical flood story in a clay tablet at the British Museum. Since then, Assyriologists have been searching for missing pieces of the Epic of Gilgamesh. Fragments of the poem have re-emerged as tablets are unearthed in archaeological digs, museum store rooms, or the black market.

An AI project called Fragmentarium is helping fill gaps in modern understanding of the poem and Mesopotamian writing. The project has successfully matched over 1,500 more tablet pieces, providing intriguing insights into the epic's story.
