Eight US newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, and others, are suing OpenAI and Microsoft for copyright infringement. The lawsuit alleges that the tech companies have been using millions of copyrighted articles without permission or payment to train their artificial intelligence chatbots. The lawsuit was filed in a New York federal court.
The newspapers are owned by Alden Global Capital and are part of a larger lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft. In December, the New York Times sued both companies on similar grounds, alleging that the creation and training of ChatGPT involved illegal use of copyrighted material.

Amazon Q Developer allows developers to spend more time coding and less time on maintenance, while Amazon Q Business empowers employees to be more data-driven and make better decisions. The service is expected to help customers' employees become more than 80% more productive at their jobs.

3. France's Mistral AI seeks funding at $5 bln valuation
French tech startup Mistral AI is seeking funding at a $5 billion valuation, according to The Information. The company is in talks with investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Ventures, and Microsoft Corp.
Mistral's existing investors include Microsoft, which has also backed OpenAI. In February, Microsoft invested $16 million in Mistral and partnered with them to make its artificial intelligence models available through its Azure cloud computing platform.
