1. Black Forest Labs releases Flux 1.1 Pro and an API
Black Forest Labs, a startup behind the popular Stable Diffusion AI image generation model, has released a faster text-to-image model called Flux 1.1 Pro. The model, which is available through partners like together.ai, Replicate, fal.ai, and Freepik, is a paid proprietary offering for commercial and enterprise usage.
Flux 1.1 Pro improves on the previous model by delivering six times faster generation speeds, enhancing image quality, prompt adherence, and diversity. The model has been tested on Artificial Analysis, with Flux 1.1 Pro holding the highest ELO score on the platform.

2. Meta's Movie Gen looks like a huge leap forward for AI video (but you can't use it yet)
Meta's latest video creation AI model, Movie Gen, can produce realistic videos with music and sound effects at 16 fps or 24 fps at up to 1080p. It can also generatively personalise videos based on photo uploads and edit videos using simple text commands.
Movie Gen is purely research at the moment and is powered by a 30 billion parameter transformer model and a 13 billion parameter audio model. It was initially trained on a combination of licensed and publicly available datasets, including around 100 million videos, a billion images, and a million hours of audio.

3. SoCreate wants to transform screenwriting software with AI imagery and community sharing tools
SoCreate, a new screenwriting software, is challenging established platforms like Final Draft and Celtx with its innovative approach to storytelling. The platform offers templates for creating industry-standard screenplays, but founder Justin Couto believes it lacks visual and creative tools.
SoCreate's image uploader tool allows screenwriters to incorporate visual concepts into their scripts, and an AI-powered image generator will soon be available. The platform also features a Storyteller hub, allowing users to share their stories for free.
