1. Apple Intelligence release date leaked – here's when the first AI features are set to arrive on your iPhone

3. OpenAI partners with Cosmopolitan and Elle publisher Hearst

5. KoBold Metals, which uses AI to help find critical minerals for the energy transition, raises $491M

KoBold Metals, a mineral discovery startup, has raised over half a billion dollars to develop a massive copper resource and move forward on its other exploration projects. The company uses artificial intelligence to sift through vast amounts of data to find mineral deposits that can drive the energy transition.

With the massive copper deposit in Zambia, KoBold has delivered on its early promise and has about 60 other exploration projects underway. In a strategic shift, KoBold plans to develop the Zambia resource itself, estimated to cost around $2.3 billion.
